Sunday 5 February
To celebrate the renewal of the shinkansen display at the National Railway Museum and the publication of the book, I held a talk on my research about the shinkansen, answering a wide range of questions relating to the research.

Thursday 6 April
There was an official book launch held at the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.

The talk was chaired by Prof. Rod Smith, the Royal Academy of Engineering Research Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College London.
